Borderless Design 2.0 – иконки и темный режим

Компания переработала интерфейс оболочки, нарисованы новые иконки и значки. Пользователь может настроить форму, размер и пропорции иконок. The company also claims that it will maintain more apps running in the background so that users can switch between them without a reboot or long wait.

The better connection among devices:

The new ColorOS revealed Pantanal which is a cross-platform system for better collaboration between devices. The OS can keep users in the loop of schedules on other devices using information from multiple devices. Moreover, the company has partnered with Chinese firms such as Li Auto, Tencent, Alipay, and Xiaohongshu for easier cross-device collaboration with Pantanal.

Privacy and other notable features:

The system comes with a feature that will erase sensitive information on a screenshot from apps like ‎WhatsApp and Messenger. In addition to that, it will also prevent unsafe apps from running, like Google Play Protection, using algorithms assisted by real humans.

ColorOS 13 is now available via a beta program. It will officially roll out to over 40 models this year, including OnePlus phones in China as well.

Digital Well-being & Multi-Screen Connectivity

Google’s introduction of the “Digital Well-Being” feature for Android has provided users with a means to keep track of their smartphone usage habits, and make necessary adjustments to their usage patterns in order to better monitor and keep their device usage in check. While devices like the Pixel phones take a detail-oriented approach to this by way of graphics and tables, Oppo has settled for a more subtle approach to keeping users updated about their digital well-being stats.

ColorOS 13’s Blossom Wallpaper gives users an update of their device and app usage through an animated plant with petals that gradually lose their color depending on how long they’ve been using their devices. When the time spent on the device exceeds a user-set limit, the texture of the plant would change gradually, reminding users to take a break from the use of devices. ColorOS 13 also comes with “Insight AOD” that displays a colored bar showing phone usage in 24-hour intervals.

1. New Design Changes

5. New Control Centre

ColorOS 13 introduces a new control center with enlarged toggles for two of your favorite quick settings. The music player has also been reworked to appear adjacent to the two enlarged tiles on the quick settings menu. The quick settings menu also has a new and improved layout for when you are in landscape mode.

6. Always-ON Display Changes

ColorOS 13 brings a massive update to the Always-ON Display. You can now get complete music control and a playlist of Spotify on the Always-ON Display. You can also get your order updates on food delivery apps such as Zomato and Swiggy on the Always-ON Display. Plus, there are some new animations, like a Polar Bear or Penguin moving on a block of ice or a clownfish moving around a coral reef.

7. Privacy Changes

ColorOS 13 brings all the Android 13 privacy changes. These changes are standard to Android 13 like the system automatically deleting your clipboard history after an hour or the nearby Wi-Fi sharing feature. Besides the standard Android 13 privacy features, ColorOS 13 brings some unique privacy features. One of those features is called Auto Pixelate. This feature will automatically pixelate any username or profile picture within a screenshot or a photo of the chat you want to share. You also get a new private safe to encrypt your files and images.

8. Multi-Screen Connect

ColorOS 13 integrates tablets, phones, and computers more seamlessly than ever. Connecting your ColorOS 13 phone with a PC lets you simultaneously use three apps in separate windows. One of those windows mirrors your phone’s screen, and two for other apps. You can also drag and drop to transfer files between your PC and smartphone. For now, the ColorOS 13 is available only in the Find X5 series. As told by the company during the event, other devices will start getting the update onwards the comming September and will allegedly be completed by March of 2023. Here is the list of devices.

ColorOS 13 provides a smart feature, the Smart Always-On Display in ColorOS 13 can now display information related to music and delivery apps, giving users faster access to information and other controls and functions.

OPPO partners with the world’s leading software and service providers including Bitmoji and Spotify, to provide convenient and personalized experiences through Smart Always-On Displays.

Thanks to LTPO2.0 technology, the refresh rate of the Always-On Display is reduced to just 1 hertz to save 30% power consumption in some scenarios.

Other smart home screen management features such as large folders (Large Folders), shelves (Shelf), and home screen widgets (Home Screen Widget) will help users to easily and quickly access the information they need in the best possible way.

Meeting Assistant can automatically prioritize wireless data plans to provide a more stable connection during online meetings. This feature also simplifies notifications to minimize distractions while allowing users to add OPPO Notes shortcuts that help create meeting minutes with Notes in a pop-up window.

Multi-screen Connect now supports seamless connectivity between smartphones and OPPO Pad Air, and between smartphones and PCs, increasing productivity and convenience through file transfers that support more file formats without hardware limitations. Users who connect their smartphone to a PC via Multi-screen Connect will also benefit from being able to display multiple mobile apps simultaneously on the PC screen.
